What is the Best Email Marketing Software for you ?

best email marketing softwareAfter you set up a survey and interact with your visitor, you usually want to direct them to an appropriate mailing list. Instead of trying to manage all of this yourself, it is best to pick a email marketing software that can take care of all the nitty-gritties for you.

Here are some of the most best email marketing software services –

  1. AWeber

Definitely one of the most popular email marketing softwares out there. According to Aweber’s claims more than 120,000 businesses are using their services. With a first month $1 trial , you can try taking it for a spin and decide if it suits your requirements.

Pros

  • Has a wide variety of Mail Design Templates and Web Forms
  • Integrates with a large number of payment processors and digital delivery products like ClickBank, GetDPD, Paypal to name a few
  • You can create your own customized parser too , in case your payment processor isn’t supported
  • You can send links of your mail broadcasts to social media platforms instantly

Cons

  • The only way to segment your list is based on those who read your email and those who didn’t
  • No way to single optin when you import users – so if you already have an email list on your local program or want to move from some other mail marketing program, then you have to force users to opt in again.
  • You can do A/B testing – but AWeber does not automatically send the winning email out to the remaining subscribers

2. MailChimp

MailChimp provides all the regular features you would expect in an email marketing software.

Pros

  • One thing that seems to be unique is that MailChimp claims to be a responsive email marketing software. You can use MailChimp’s iPad app to compose and edit items – even if you are offline.
  • You can create multi-user accounts -its a neat feature that enables various teams of different sizes to collaborate.
  • Another definite plus – With MailChimp’s geolocation tools you can send geo-specific newsletters to your subscribers. You can actually send a customized newsletter to all the subscribers from a particular zip code.
  • Another unique service which MailChimp offers is ‘Gather’. With this service you can send text message alerts to your MailChimp subscribers and keep them posted about latest news and events.Cons
  • I guess it must be me – but I find the interface very confusing to say the least.
  1. Campaign Monitor

Campaign Monitor has been around for a while and I can’t think of a reason why you shouldn’t use it.

Pros

  • Allows you to segment your list based on your own filter criteria
  • Allows you to import users without double opt in so if you are moving your list from one mail program to another, you can do that here easily
  • Neat A/B testing – allows you to set up different mails based on subject / content , you can select what criteria should be used for deciding the winner too ( open rate / click rate ). Campaign Monitor automatically sends out the winning mail to the remaining subscribers

Cons

  • Only 2 sets of samples can be created while doing A/B Testing
  • More ready templates for emails might be nice

Two Others that I haven’t used myself , but are quite popular are –

4. GetResponse

It allows you to schedule the delivery time of your newsletters with the Time Travel option. You can now be anywhere in the world at the perfect time – simply turn on Time Travel. Your mail will be delivered as per the local time of the time zone. With GetResponse you can make a list of immensely engaged subscribers.  You can use its neat squeeze page generator and set up built-in sign-up forms integrated with your campaigns.
5. iContact

Seems to tick most of the boxes – has a free trial too, so you can try it out and let me know what you think.
